Why This Warning Appears

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide a warning label on products that may contain any of more than 1,000 listed chemicals. These warnings are required even when substances are present in very small amounts, often well below limits set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Some Inno Supps products include a Proposition 65 warning because trace amounts of naturally occurring heavy metals, such as lead, may be present in the soil and water where plant-based ingredients are grown. These levels are not added to our products; they occur naturally in many crops and foods.

It is important to understand that the presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is unsafe. California’s standards are among the strictest in the world, requiring warnings at exposure levels up to 1,000 times lower than what international health organizations consider safe. No other state or country enforces Proposition 65 warnings.
